Overview
The Red Tree aluminium resin roller 5 inch Malta is built for fibreglass and epoxy laminating work. Its metal cage does not absorb resin the way a fabric cover would.
Why it works
So more of what you load onto it ends up on the laminate. As a result, you get a more even wet-out across the glass cloth.
Suited to
In particular, this is what it performs best at:
- Polyester and epoxy laminating resin
- Fibreglass cloth and mat wet-out
- Repair and reinforcement work on hulls and decks
In practice
That matters because resin has limited working time once catalysed. A roller that hoards resin forces more reloading while the clock runs.
Sizes and options
This roller comes in two sizes, 3 inch and 5 inch. For a different feel, it also pairs with Red Tree’s fibreglass resin roller.
